There was apparently a working script too to take things forward, but that too has become increasingly scarce in mentions, the reasons for which we examine in the upcoming sections. The film, however, did little to add to the legacy of 80s TV shows being converted to movies, and failed to follow ’21 Jump Street’ into the hall of fame. However, the film did manage to bring in $177 Million on a modest investment of roughly $65 Million, thus warranting a sequel, which was almost immediately greenlit, but chatter around it died out soon enough.
